Police are investigating a possible homicide at a home in Fayetteville, where a man's body was discovered Tuesday afternoon.

Officers were called around 2 p.m. to 1722 Gardenia Ave., where they found the body of Tommy Loren Webb, 35, who appeared to have been shot at least once. Authorities said a cause of death wasn't immediately known.

Webb's girlfriend, Denika Lashalle Jones, 26, who also lives at the home has been listed as a missing person.

Police did not release any other details but asked anyone with information about the apparent shooting or about Jones' whereabouts to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1421 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.

Because it makes so much sense to shoot a dead guy. really? LOL I'm sure the odds of a man dying by other causes then getting shot are few and far between

he could've already been dead when he was shot genius lol

I believe I cold make a pretty good guess about the cause of death. Yet another gun related death.

With all of the work and experience Fayetteville's homicide detectives are getting they should be on the level of the guy's on tv's Law and Order or CSI.

Another day, another body found in Fayetteville.
