Durham, N.C. — A school bus snagged power lines outside Parkwood Baptist Church in Durham Monday afternoon, sending sparks flying and the children on board back to school.

Police said a transformer snapped, but no one was hurt. Power lines were down across Emerald Circle.
The children were helped off the bus and walked back to nearby Parkwood Elementary School.
