Hoke County authorities said Friday that they have arrested two Raeford men in connection with an armed robbery at a local online sweepstakes business.

Javonda Eugene Sentel Morris, 29, of 291 Tonya Loop, and Glen Edward Maynor, 16, of 300 Purvis Court, were charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree kidnapping and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Morris also was charged with altering a firearm serial number and possession of marijuana, while Maynor was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana.

Morris was being held in the Hoke County jail under a $500,000 bond, and Maynor was being held under a $400,000 bond.

Three men brandishing guns went into Lucky Charm Sweepstakes, on U.S. Highway 401 Business, shortly before midnight Wednesday, and one held a gun to the head of a customer as the men demanded money, authorities said. No one was injured in the robbery, and the men fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.

The robbery remains under investigation.
