Johnston County substitute teacher caught peeping

Michael Lynn Worley, 46, of 26 Ponderosa Park Drive in Wake Forest, was charged with secret peeping after, police said, he used a cellphone to snap photos of the 13-year-old while the boy was inside a restroom stall at Barnes & Noble at Triangle Town Center mall on May 5.

According to a search warrant for Worley's computer and phone, the boy noticed the cellphone and told his father, who reported Worley to police.

When police looked at Worley's phone, the warrant says, they found multiple videos of the boy in the bathroom.

They also found a photo, dated Jan. 16, of another boy in a bathroom stall, but it did not appear that the boy knew the photo was being taken.

Johnston County schools spokeswoman Terri Sessoms said Worley had been a substitute teacher in the district since January 2011. He was removed from the substitute list Tuesday.

Worley was in jail Tuesday under a $25,000 bond in Wake County.
