Autopsies: Two women overdosed in Rougemont house

print friendly

Two women whose bodies were found inside a house near Rougemont in February died of drug overdoses, according to autopsy reports released Wednesday.

A friend went to 121 Quail Roost Farm Road on Feb. 27 after being unable to reach Donna Ann Lloyd, 58, and Wendi Lou Harris Chase, 37, by phone for two days, authorities said. It's unclear how long the women had been dead before they were found.

Toxicology reports on the women showed they had lethal doses of the painkiller methadone in their systems, as well as low levels of a muscle relaxant and an anti-seizure drug.

Lloyd rented the house, which is among several rental properties on an area horse farm, and Chase stayed with her from time to time, authorities said.
