Fayetteville police investigating Fort Bragg soldier's death

Fayetteville police on Wednesday said they are investigating the death of a Fort Bragg soldier.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police on Wednesday said they are investigating the death of a Fort Bragg soldier. 

Pfc. Christopher Lundquist, 25, was found dead Monday morning in his Fayetteville apartment, police said.

Lundquist was an 82nd Airborne Division Paratrooper who was a satellite operator with Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3rd Battalion, 82nd Aviation Regiment, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division.

After joining the Army in May 2011, Lundquist was awarded the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.

No other information about Lundquist's death was released.
