A woman says she was jogging along a wooded area off Carvers Fall Road when she was attacked and raped.

Hope they find him! Fayetteville is so sad...

I have a problem with the headline. How about "Woman Reports Rape" rather 'Woman Says she was raped'? Was there a reason a headline was written which throws doubt as to the assault taking place?

I am a man. If I report I was hit on the head and my wallet was taken, would the headline be "Man Says he was mugged"? No, it would be "Man Mugged on Main Street".

Any language which puts the 'facts' in doubt is by its nature casting doubt in the veracity of the person reporting the crime.

Think about it.

I wish the woman could have given a description of the man (color, age, height), but I am assuming she could not get any of that information. That is a shame, because that could help. Otherwise, it should have been posted in this story and it's not. Therefore, I can only assume she only knows one thing about the attacker. He's a male.

Everyone, both men and women, need to always be careful. Some people go on the big trail for hundreds of miles hiking, all alone. I don't think that is smart or safe, for men or women.

A person should have a right to go jogging at 2:00 a.m. in the morning, if they want to. That may not be the brightest or smartest thing to do, but it's their choice.

One day, this man will pick the wrong woman and when he does, he won't know what hit him.

Should not be having to worry about what time of day or night anyone jogs, start enforcing stiff sentences on these criminals and don't let them take our feedoms from us,it needs to be the other way around, having two sisters I have always felt that rape should be an offense that should carry a life sentence with no parole but our judicial system sees it in another way, many women never get over this and it should be the same for the rapist when caught.
