Wake Forest seminary student accused of assaulting roommate
A 43-year-old Wake Forest man and seminary student was arrested Saturday afternoon in connection with the sexual assault of his roommate, police said.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — A 43-year-old Wake Forest man and seminary student was arrested Saturday afternoon in connection with the sexual assault of his roommate, police said.
William Watson Birch, of 120 S. Wingate St., was charged with second-degree sexual offense and taken to the Wake County jail, where he was being held under a $50,000 bond.
Investigators said that Birch admitted to assaulting the 25-year-old man, who was asleep at the time, inside the dorm room they shared at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
