Runaway teen sought in Wayne County

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is searching for Austin Tyler Thompson, who was last seen Dec. 7. He is believed to be in the area of Northeast Park in Goldsboro.

Austin's parents called authorities on Dec. 12 and reported that he had run away, according to the sheriff's office.

Austin, whose age was not provided, is approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 126 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. He is believed to have pierced ears.
