Man shot in Goldsboro

Goldsboro, N.C. — Goldsboro police are searching for the people responsible for a Christmas Eve shooting.

Tavaris Randell Whitfield was shot was standing near his car in the 1000 block of Devereaux Street, police said. Stray bullets also struck a home occupied by a woman and her 17-year-old daughter, but they weren't injured.

Whitfield drove himself to the hospital, police said, and along the way, he struck another vehicle at Wayne Memorial Drive and U.S. Highway 70 but kept on driving. The second driver wasn't injured.

Whitfield was being treated at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

here's a tip for you: if you get shot, call 911. Dont drive yourself and possibly kill someone else, it's counter productive. Tip for the shooter: get some hair on your peaches and handle your dispute instead of cowardly shooting at people from a moving car and possibly killing the wrong person or an innocent kid!!!!!!! geeze folks isn't there enough of this in the news everyday?

Takes a real courage person to shoot from a moving car and not even face the person they think has wronged them. WRAL says any word I use may offend some people. Well folks that shoot at another person offend me. what happened to the old fashion fair fight if talking it out does not work
