Smithfield, N.C. — The Johnston County Sheriff's Office fired a 12-year veteran of its department Wednesday after he allegedly got caught stealing shoes from a Smithfield store, sheriff's spokeswoman Tammy Amaon said.
Rodney Dale Bentley, 51, was terminated for conduct unbecoming of a police officer. Smithfield police charged him with misdemeanor larceny.
Amaon said Bentley was off-duty when he was arrested at the Rack Room store at Carolina Premium Outlets.
This is the second time this week the sheriff's office has dismissed employees for misconduct. On Tuesday, a jail employee was terminated for conduct unbecoming of a correction officer and lying to investigators during an internal probe into inappropriate texting at the jail.
Four other employees had previously resigned or been fired in connection with the texting investigation.

I have no idea what your first sentence even means. If I can locate Mr.Haney from Green Acres, perhaps he might understand it. As far as your second sentence goes, why should I get out? I like it here. What's not to like? and I'm having a good time. Can you say the same?
