print friendly

Police were searching Monday for two men that investigators say robbed two Fayetteville banks.

The first robbery occurred at about 11:15 a.m. at the First South Bank branch at 241 Green St. The second robbery occurred about a half-hour later at the First South Bank branch at 705 Executive Place.

In both robberies, two men walked into the banks, handed a teller a note demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Anyone with information about either robbery is asked to call detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477).

"I guess since this only happened 2 hours ago, and there is absolutely NO suspect description, no clothing, no race, no height or build, no vehicle etc. then you can just call the police department if you see any two men together in Fayetteville..."

Isn't it amazing..on one side of the window your are considered a bank robber when you take what is not yours...on the other side it is considered a "bail out" when you have robbed others of THEIR money...remember...money = power, power = money and NEVER shall they part ways AND bankes ARE NEVER your friend...!!!!

I am not a bank teller @ LuckyDog ... but I tell you what I wouldn't argue either!...

What happened to dye packs? When the robbers leave the bank, it's timed not to go off until they have left the bank. At least it would be something to deter them...or get bullet resistent glass in the bank.

I am a bank teller - and let me tell you I do not make enough money for me to argue with a Bank Robber - If they ask I would give it to them.
