A 15-year-old Fuquay-Varina girl whose body was found in Jordan Lake this summer was stabbed nearly two dozen times, according to an autopsy report released Monday by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill.

The report said that some of the 23 wounds Maria Patricia Perez received to her chest pierced both her lungs and heart.

Fishermen found the teen's body Aug. 6 near a fishing ramp off Farrington Road, about a mile north of U.S. Highway 64 in Chatham County.

Investigators said Perez's boyfriend, Gabriel Alejandro Maricio Lopez, 20, of 600 Church St., and Alejanero Prada Sanchez, 19, of 307-23 Linwood St., are both charged with first-degree murder in the case.

Investigators believe that Lopez stabbed Perez after an argument and that Sanchez was present for the crime.

They have not commented further about a possible motive.

It doesn't matter if they are born Americans or from another country illegally. If they are guilty, that needle needs to be pushed in and that plunger shoved all the way down.

"This A Beautiful Girl, There Was No Reason For This!!!! OK Let's See What N.C. Does To Them. Send Them Back To Mexico!"

Really? "Send them back to Mexico"?? Go educate yourself. Nowhere in the article did it say they were Mexican! There are lots of other latin american countries these criminals could have come from. Don't let your ignorance show.

Send Them Back To Mexico! That Is What Is Wrong With Our Country Now

sorry but whats wrong with our country is people like you assuming these boys are from Mexico! I have seen no mention of them being from Mexico So in your book Hispanic sounding surnames equals Mexican? And second why would you assume they need to be sent BACK to anywhere? Why would you assume they are not US born CITIZENS? That there is the what is wrong with our country!!
