Pedestrian involved in I-40 wreck

A pedestrian was involved in a wreck on Interstate 40 East, south of downtown Raleigh, Friday morning, police spokesman Jim Sughrue said. The wreck was one of two that backed up traffic on I-40, between Lake Wheeler and Hammond roads, during the morning rush hour.
