Greetings from DC. For the third time today, photographer Chad Flowers and I are delayed in a major traffic jam. Tefala is our cab driver. Came here eight years ago from Ethiopia. He is excited about the Obama presidency.
Even with security issues here the mood of the city is powerfully upbeat. Young people are thrilled. Several we spoke with believe this is their time.
We just heard Sen. Kay Hagan and soon-to-be Secretary of State Hillary Clinton speak.
More later. It's an honor to be here.
By the way, traffic is delayed because of Lincoln Memorial concert. The Boss was just at that. Bon Jovi and Tom Hanks also stellar.
