Watching basketball in the classroom remains a NC tradition

Leesville Elementary School 3rd grade teacher Karli Eller has found a way to bring her passion and a North Carolina tradition into the classroom. As a grade school student in Greensboro, Eller recalls a cart with a television perched atop being rolled into the classroom each March. She can remember class field trips to opening events for the ACC tournament and even recalls days that she skipped school to watch the tournament. Times have changed and classrooms are more transparent. More technology and more cameras means less non-educational television being shown in the classroom. That hasn't stopped Karli Eller from continuing the tradition. "Now, I get to provide that same thing for my students, it just looks different."
