Arson suspected in Raleigh apartment fire

The fire started around 5 a.m. at the Trees and Leaves Apartments, at 1319 Kent Road. Four apartments were destroyed, and three others were damaged by smoke. Twelve people were displaced. 

One person was injured after he jumped from a window. He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for cuts to his knee and possible burns.

A firefighter also hurt his wrist when he fell, authorities said.

Investigators provided few details on the case but said that they were looking for a male suspect and that a dog sniffed out an accelerant.

Earlier Friday, a source said the fire was the result of an argument between a married couple and that a 5-gallon can of gasoline was found at the scene.
