RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh Police on Tuesday introduced a system that allows people to report some non-emergency crimes online.
The system allows people to report six crimes online: damage to property, damage to vehicles, harassing phone calls, lost property, stolen property and theft from a vehicle.

After data is submitted, users will receive a temporary report of the crime. An official report should be available within five business days, police said.

All reports filed will be reviewed and, if further investigation is required, a law enforcement officer will follow up on the case.

People wishing to report a non-emergency incident where an immediate response is not needed, there is no serious personal injury, property damage or loss, and there is no possibility that the culprit is still at the scene or likely to return to the scene, should call police at 919-829-1911.
