— A man shot three women then himself late Friday on a road in Research Triangle Park, according to the Durham County Sheriff's Office.

Lt. Stan Harris said Sunday that Brinton Marcell Millsap, 23, of 8 Mellon Court in Durham, was found lying in the road near the intersection of Park Office Drive and N.C. Highway 54 in Research Triangle Park. He shot three women inside a car, then killed himself, Harris said.

Authorities said the three women who were his victims were all also from Durham. They were: Alexandria J. Baker Pierce, 23, of 2327 Oriole Drive, Amesha Alia Page-Smith, 24, of 822 Rome St., and Adrianne Celeste Stevens, 22, of 2022 Buffalo Way. Each woman had multiple gunshot wounds. The shootings were not random, Harris said.

Deputies found the car just before midnight as they responded to a call about the gunshots.

Anyone who may have been in the area and seen anything unusual from 11 p.m. Friday to midnight is asked to call the Durham County Sheriff's Office criminal investigations division at 919-560-0880.

Was this incident connected to the senseless murders of that young girl and that 5 year old who were butchered to death and buried in the backyard?

Highway 54 and Park Drive...Not Far from the Radisson Hotel/Governor's Inn at RTP.

I think the cited Facebook page entry tells a lot....

As for any "mutual suicide pact" - I don't think so.

    Better stated: "NO WAY!"

This was likely a planned single murder followed by an unplanned double murder followed by a single suicide by a person with obvious problems.

Two people in the back seat of a small car don't have much time to react to someone with a firearm in the front seat. Their escape options/survival chances would have been very slim under such circumstances.

bronzegoddess40-I may be wrong but I took Death Row's statement as the guy carried a gun with him, at least twice since he was arrested once before for concealed weapon, and because of that he must feel the need to "protect" himself. So he must put himself in dangerous situations otherwise there would be no need for the gun.

Well in that case everyone that carries a concealed weapon, permit or not, must put themselves in dangerous situations as well.

"Some people carry guns for other reasons. The number one reason nowadays is probably to have validity to their peers, i.e. I'm a big guy, I have a gun, and my gun is bigger than your gun is."

But its a social upbringing thing that makes them want and get the gun to start with. I can tell you that, as much as I preach the Death Penalty angle, I DO NOT carry a gun. Actually, I don't own anything larger than a pellet gun. And I can guarantee you my teenagers will NOT have a gun and won't have a need for a gun as they grow up. Its a social thing related to family lifestyle or place of living/working. They obviously hung out with people that believed they needed a gun. That's usually because they live/socialize in a bad area or live/socialize with bad people. This starts with upbringing.

I am appalled at what everyone is saying about these kids! I am close friends with one of the victims sister, and the family is in total shock! This was an innocent night out with the girls that turned out fatally wrong! Regardless of whether they knew each other and how well. The guy lost it and took it out on everyone.

Show some respect people! These families are hurting enough! Let's just pray that these girls didn't have to suffer and that it happened so quickly they didn't even know what hit them.

Thank you to all those that are sending prayers to these families. Seeing the pain first hand is heartbreaking. May these young women rest in peace.

It's like kindergarten kid games oftentimes, except someone gets killed.

Boggles the mind how someone can be that seriously disturbed (yes disturbed) to do something like this.

Praying for those who loved these people.
