I worked with Fasil and he was a great guy. You all should be ashamed of yourself. He worked around there and yes walked on the tracks, but he could have been walking to work. He was a friend, a smart guy, and someone’s kid. Think before you post things about people you do not know and the people who loved them.

Jeez... Why does the train always have to win?

Very sad, but at the same time if someone wants to take their own life there is not a whole lot anyone else can do about it. I'm just glad he didn't take anyone else with him like so many do in this day and time. I feel for his family, but also for the engineer, I can't imagine what he/she is thinking or feeling.

I think the headline is wrong. How about this?

Man puts himself in the way of a moving train, dies.

What ever happened to the rakes they used to have of the front to deflect anything that may be on the tracks.

I was on a train that ran over an individual. It took me a long time before I would ride the train again. I knew the conductor on the train, and he never did get over it. He retired a short time there after. I don't know about the engineer, but, I'm sure it would screw him up for a long time.

"I'll bet that took a lot of courage,,, YA RECKON

No, courage would have been facing whatever had him in such a fix that he would take his own life.

I'll bet that took a lot of courage,,,

my best guess: highest probability is that he was drunk, then suicide (or combination of drunk and suicide), third most probable may be homocide. Bottom line, "the tracks" is a bad place to hang out.
