Durham requires a lot of paperwork to buy a pistol. You can only buy 2 on one set of papers.

However, this presumes that the thugs bought their gun legally. Child, please.

For a city to be as crime-ridden as Durham is requires massive corruption and payoffs. Follow the money - who benefits from a permanent criminal underclass?

Gun crimes in Durham are not taken very seriously. Just sayin the obvious!!

    >>I want to know who the two people are that vouched for their character so they could purchase a pistol!!!!!

Huh? All you have to do is get a pistol permit from the county sheriff in the county you live in.

This type of crime deserves life without parole - hope they catch these punks soon - I am sure they have long criminal histories. Maybe we will be lucky and they will choose the wrong victim - one who has a legal permit to carry a weapon and then puts these turkeys out of their misery and saves us taxpayers a lot of money and time.

You can look up the statistics on crime PER CAPITA (meaning crime per 100,000 population) and see that Durham is well in the lead for crime when compared with Cary, Raleigh etc.

Go ahead, read it for yourself - this allows you to compare any two cities for crime statistics:

The perpetrators were probably from Rocky Mount. hmmmm .. Seriously speaking, this is terrible. Prayers for the victim.

Durham is no worse than Raleigh. Even the elite that live in Cary have had their share of crime. There is no where in the US, except maybe the desert, that you will not find crime of some sort.
