Search warrant returned in Domino's murder case
Kenneth "Kenny" Ring, 24, died Monday afternoon after being beaten in an early-morning robbery at the Knightdale pizza store.
Posted — UpdatedA delivery employee called 911 just before 1 a.m. Saturday to report that he found Kenneth "Kenny" Ring on the floor of the Knightdale store, at 2001 Widewaters Parkway.
Ring, 24, died Monday afternoon at WakeMed, where he was being treated for blunt force trauma.
At the time, police didn't say why they were searching Ring's Raleigh home, but in a warrant returned Thursday, investigators requesting to search the residence cited "so many unanswered questions" and the belief of evidence at the home as reasons for the search.
Handwritten notes, financial papers, a diary, a car charger and CD were among other items seized, according to the warrant..
It offers no new information about the case.
Police have said they have no suspects in the crime and are asking that anyone who was in the area of pizza store from midnight to 12:39 a.m. Saturday to contact them at 919-217-2261.
Also in an effort to generate leads, Domino's Pizza has put up a $5,000 reward for information leading to a conviction, and Eastern Wake Crime Stoppers has set up a fund for donations to add to that reward money.
