Reward offered in Domino's robbery, assault

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information regarding a robbery that left the assistant manager of a Domino's restaurant in Knightdale with critical injuries.

KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — A $5,000 reward is being offered for information regarding a robbery that left the assistant manager of a Domino's restaurant in Knightdale with critical injuries.

At 12:39 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of an assault at the Domino's at 2001 Widewaters Parkway, off Knightdale Boulevard.

Officers found Kenneth "Kenny" Ring, 24, of Raleigh, suffering from blunt force trauma to the head. The weapon used to injure him hasn't been determined.

Ring was treated at the scene, then transported to WakeMed in Raleigh. He was in critical condition Sunday evening.

An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the restaurant.

Police said they did not have any information on suspects but were continuing to evaluate evidence and follow up on leads and tips.
