HOPE MILLS, N.C. — A fourth person has died as the result of a head-on collision in Hope Mills Thursday night.

Brooke Paquin, 32, was the passenger in a Mustang involved in the crash. She died at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, a hospital spokesperson said.

Police said Paquin was riding with Tristan Hanna when his car crossed the center line on Hope Mills Road and hit an SUV carrying a family of three. Hanna, 26, of Webster, N.Y., died in the wreck.

The driver of the SUV, Hien Truong, and his 11-month-old child, Hanna, were also killed.

Huyen Truong, 26, was injured and remained critical but stable Saturday in the intensive care unit at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Police said that Tristan Hanna was a contract nurse at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He had packed his car and was moving to New York with his girlfriend when the wreck happened. His roommate told police that he planned to ask his girlfriend to marry him this weekend.

Hanna was driving an estimated 65 mph in a 45-mph zone, police said. It doesn't appear that alcohol or drugs was a factor in the wreck.
