Troopers: Benson woman crashes while fleeing repo man

An attempt to repossess a car ended with a crash in Johnston County early Tuesday.

Troopers said Angela Blackmon, 20, of Benson, drove off when a wrecker arrived at her home to take her car around 1 a.m.

The driver of the wrecker chased her and the two vehicles crashed on Black Creek Road in Four Oaks, authorities said.

WakeMed treated Blackmon for minor injuries and released her, hospital officials said. The driver of the wrecker was not injured.

Charges were pending.

He didn't check because your husband was a hwp. They knock on your door to get the key and to let you get your stuff out of the car. And for those of you who are saying it could be a home invasion they are not trying to get in your house, and you know why they are there. You know they are coming because you didn't pay your bill... Ya'll sound so crazy with some of your comments.(If they come in my house and take my car) oh my

Gregg, ever hear of a contract? Are you serious with your comments? lol

Now, not knowing everything about NC laws but won't she have to pay for the repairs to the car before it is in sellable condition for the finance company? Just a thought.

james27613 - "if she paid up she could have gotten the car back the next day."

You've never had anything repo'd have you!

And furthermore, you're assuming she had the money, and in this mess of an economy, that's foolish to assume.

God bless.
