Fayetteville university helping students dress for success
First impressions can be everything when it comes to landing an internship or a job, but what if you can't afford that perfect interview suit?
Posted — UpdatedFayetteville State University's Career Services Center has a solution for students – a community clothing closet.
Director Helen Cameron said the idea came about after students shows up at career fairs dressed in casual attire.
"They think about the day-to-day – going to class, those types of things," Cameron said. "But when it's time for a career fair or time for interviewing, they don't have (the appropriate attire)."
The clothes, nearly new and donated by school employees and Enterprise Rent-a-Car, are free to FSU students under the condition that they attend all job fairs offered by the school.
