Crews search for homeowner after fire Gas explosion sparked fatal fire

Moreno lived at the home with his wife and two children. The three of them were unharmed.

The fire started at about 3 p.m. after a gas explosion, Assistant Fire Chief Rusty Styons said. Millbrook Road was closed to traffic for hours Tuesday as firefighters battled the blaze.

They found Moreno's body just after 8:30 p.m. under a collapsed brick wall alongside the house.

"We had a report from a neighbor that there was possibly someone trapped inside,” Styons said.

Police said there were no indications of foul play in Moreno's death. The cause of the gas explosion was still under investigation.

I'm thinking of an exchangable propane container. They are not supposed to be kept inside a structure because they can explode. I had a neighbor whose out building and a car were destroyed because a container spontaneously exploded. There was also a loud boom.

    Just a guess.

"The cause of the gas explosion was still under investigation."

Wanna bet the cause will be him working on or near the gas line, without the help of the gas company or licensed contractor?

Wow. I live on Millbrook. I remember all hell breaking loose with firetrucks screaming by my house (which isn't unusual). Then 2 hours later this story pops up.
