Ladies also take center stage in 'Jersey Boys'
The musical may be called “Jersey Boys,” but the show also includes a group of “Jersey Girls.”
Posted — UpdatedThe musical, which runs until July 18 at the Memorial Auditorium at the Progress Energy Center in Raleigh, tells the true story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, a group which sold 75 million records. The story also includes the women who helped influence their lives.
“The costumes in the show are endless,” Marino said. “It’s a girl’s dream…we get to play dress up.”
The core of the musical is the music, which has some audience members questioning whether they are really hearing the original versions.
“We all sing live the entire show. People say, ‘It can’t be. It sounds too much like the guys,’” Joseph Leo Bwarie, who plays Frankie Valli, said. “No, it’s live.”
