Im sorry, but i have to laugh at this story. Im sorry the store owner got ripped off, but all those cartons must have made the "perp" look like Sponge Bob Square Pants!!! And exactly how fast could he have left the scene with all that shoved in places you wouldnt wants your cigs to go???

Anything's possible when you have that "burning desire".

Imagine that. Someone was stealing something. Surprise, surprise. I am sure he looked funny with all those smokes in his pants. Guess he didn't have "anything" in his pants to begin with and now feels like a man! LOL

at $1500.00 for 26 cartons of cigs that would equal to $57.69 per carton. Cig don't cost that much per carton yet - so what else did he have stuffed in his pants?

Wow, that's quite an accomplishment. He must be so proud...

Shouldn't this be under "Strange News"??????

  • pcgrad07 Jun 26, 2009

Impressive. Now if only he would take that spark of creative energy and put it towards actually working to pay for these items..

Always wanting "something for nothing"... I just don't understand it.

WOW! Almost $58 a carton for Newports? 26 cartons in his pants? and all this over a month ago? Definitely somthing does not seem right about this info. Also, if he was "fleeing" the store as in the article title, he could not have "walked" out of the store. I think proof readers are needed at WRAL before posting stories. The media is already receiving a bad beat for misrepresentation of "facts" and should be more careful in what they print/report.

Probably took most of the Packs out of the Cartons and stuffed them in his Pants. Possible to do this. Not Good for the Business that lost all of this because they have to pay for this before selling them.
