Cumberland County sheriff’s detectives were investigating a double shooting early Thursday that killed one man and seriously injured a teen.

Tremayne Wayne Council, 22, whose last known address was 2918 Scarlett Drive, was shot to death Thursday morning as he walked along Starlit Drive in eastern Cumberland County.

Investigators say Council’s body was found lying in the driveway of a home on the 400 block of Starlit Drive. Several people who were in the area told detectives they heard multiple shots.

Another victim, 16-year old Maurice LaQuan McLean of 2507 Slater St., was recovering from gunshot wounds he received in the shootout.

Family members took him to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he underwent surgery, according to authorities. His condition was unknown.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500 or 910-484-TIPS (8477).

So, this story states there was a "shootout", that would imply that at least one of these "victims" were armed.

They don't call Fayetteville, Fayettenam for nothing.

"Where is Rev. Barber of the NAACP on black-on-black crime such as this one? Seems is much easier to play the victim rather than be active in bringing solutions to the problem."

You won't hear from on any of that. He has no problem with any of that, he only cares about topics which allow for the vilifying of white males.

"For all who do not know these guys they gave 10 fold to the community and were some of the most upstanding citizens that you would ever come across. They would give you the shirts off their backs."

dass coreckt, i knows them both and they nice boys, diss a setup!
