Raleigh officer involved in wreck
Police said Officer D.V. Naumuk was responding to call around 8:30 p.m. when his police cruiser hit a city-owned SUV coming out of a driveway along Athens Drive.

Police said Officer D.V. Naumuk was responding to call around 8:30 p.m. when his police cruiser hit a city-owned SUV coming out of a driveway on Athens Drive. During the wreck, the SUV flipped.
Naumuk suffered minor injuries.
Neighbors were startled when a tire flew off one of the vehicles and struck a house.
"It actually hit the window, the frame," resident Monica Oakley said. "It almost sounded like an explosion. It was very loud."
Police were continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
