Canes fans welcome home winners
Hundreds of Carolina Hurricanes fans cheered as their team arrived at Raleigh-Durham International Airport early Wednesday after beating the New Jersey Devils 4-3 Tuesday night in one of the greatest last-minute comebacks in NHL history.

Brooke Bailey said she begged her dad to let her go to RDU to welcome the team home, even though it was a school night for her.
"(He) told me I had to wake up real good tomorrow or I couldn't go again. So, I'm kind of excited," she said. "I've been a 'Canes fan since I was born. I was kind of born when they came here."
Fans waived signs and screamed as players drove by, leaving the airport.
"I'm a big sports fan, but there's nothing like playoff hockey," said fan Freddie Bailey.
Carolina next plays the top-seeded Bruins in a series that starts on Friday in Boston.
