Police Chief Tim Stoker said Wednesday that someone found the body about a quarter-mile into the woods near the Drayton Reserve subdivision on Forestville Road.

Stoker said investigators believe the victim had been fatally shot at the scene. The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill for an autopsy.

He did not have any other information about the victim.

If you're going to commit a murder, why not pick an area that has no experience investigating such crimes.

north on 401 take left on Forestville. I think this is that new subdivision on the right about a mile down the road just past Lilly Liles. We have had a couple of murders and several break ins in this area. Keep your eyes and your ears open. Unemployment goes up and so does crime.

Wasnt aware the Rolesville city limits went out that far. Last I knew it went as far as Jonesville Road.

Looking at a map of approved developments in the Rolesville area, Drayton Reserve is on Forestville Rd- between Hwy 401 (actually- closer to Lilly Liles Rd) and Burlington Mill Rd.

That's getting a little too close to home. It's always been kinda peaceful out that way.
