How many had construction experience? That's where our future lies, according to Pelosi, Reid and Obama!!!!

The relevance of my posting is that it does not take ManPower to find a job. The story infers that it is a big deal that a job fair is going on. I guess i should have made my point clearer for a WTVD viewer

It is a very smart move. the people trashing these job fairs are the ones that are not qualified for these jobs.

nc1state....you shouldnt talk about things you dont know. And i know you dont know what you are talking about, because your words are just false, plain and simple.

nc1state, you might want to check your info. I spoke with a buddy who works for one of the staffing companies that is hiring for these positions and apparently none of them actually have the jobs yet--they're ALL "anticipating" these jobs. The hiring company hasn't released them yet for any staffing company to fill; they are all being sent out at the same time to any interested staffing firm. So, all of the companies advertising for this are trying to get as many people ready for hire as possible so that when the jobs are available, the staffing companies are ready to fill. And, since the news is always "free advertisement", I can't blame them for making sure they out do the others and get on every channel if all the staffing companies are competing to fill the same openings. Smart move.

I think the job fair should be like the NC State Lottery. Pick your name and win a job. Next week, we'll be drawing middle management positions! Oh wait! There are no need for those jobs anymore.

    "These jobs are for Wachovia"

    Check your info.

  • Wags Feb 11, 2009

These jobs are for Wachovia. Probably a two to three month gig.

As someone said basically all the agencies in town are recruiting for these positions. If you want to avoid the crowd head to Kelly,Ajilon, Robert Half. Manpower is "anticipating" jobs. Other companies actually are in a position to fill them. Not sure how they got the news and no one else did. Manpower has worked WRAL for free advertisement.

There is another recruiter for these jobs. That company is called Ajilon. They are a more, shall we say high end recruiter. (Maybe it is spelled Ajillon, who knows)
