Elizabeth Edwards is preparing to release a new book about the "burdens and gifts of facing life's adversities."

The book, titled "Resilience" and set to be published in May, comes less than a year after Edwards' husband, former Sen. John Edwards, publicly acknowledged having an affair with a video producer in the months prior to his second campaign for president.

Publisher Broadway Books describes Elizabeth Edwards as someone who "on the surface, seems to have led a charmed life."

But the promotional materials also describe John Edwards' infidelity, along with the 1996 death of the couple's son Wade and Elizabeth Edwards' ongoing battle with breast cancer.

Elizabeth Edwards previously wrote a memoir titled "Saving Graces," first published in 2006, that also detailed her life's struggles.

I want to buy it. I want to give more money to the Edwards family. They care about us. They are common people like us. They need more money. They will bring about hope and change.

I hope she can hang on long enough to raise her children. I wish her the best.

I hope the proceeds will go to cancer research. If not, forget it. We all know the story. I have breast cancer and other problems but I'm not leaning on the cancer for folks to like or feel sorry for me.

I can't wait to buy multiple copies of the book! NOT! What a joke. Leave your husband then maybe you have something to write about.

Will any of the proceeds of the sale of this book go towards the American Cancer Society? If not, no thanks. The Edwards have enough money. They live in "the other America", as the old SunSetter salesman puts it.
