Fayetteville, N.C. — A winter storm warning remained in effect Tuesday morning as snow blanketed Fayetteville and Cumberland County.
Forecasters say the area could see anywhere from three to five inches of snow.
Local schools closed, as well as Cumberland County government offices. The Cumberland County courthouse will remain closed until 10am Wednesday. Those who were supposed to report for jury duty Tuesday and Wednesday may now stay home.
Fort Bragg closed due to inclement weather. Womack Army Medical Center’s outpatient clinics were also closed.
Fayetteville police cautioned motorists to stay off the roads if possible. The following intersections were said to be especially slick:
--Pamalee Drive at Lakecrest Drive
--Bonanza Drive at Morganton Road
--Graham Road at Raeford Road
