Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police arrested a 26-year-old man for allegedly abusing his 6-month-old child.
Demetrius Crudup, 26, of Raleigh, faces charges of felony child abuse and assault by strangulation, according to the arrest warrant. The alleged incident happened on Jan. 7.
The infant, whose sex was not released, spent two days in the hospital after the alleged incident happened on Jan. 7.
The child had bruises and abrasions around the neck, the warrant said.
Crudup was being held at the Wake County Jail under a $50,000 bond Saturday morning.
