Cool air, clouds moving into N.C.

7-Day Forecast

Colder air will move into the state Friday afternoon as high pressure from Canada makes its way into the southeast.

Friday will see highs in the upper 40s to low 50s with partly cloudy skies.

Those attending Durham’s annual Lucky Strike Tower Lighting on Friday night should bundle up to stay warm.

The event, on the American Tobacco Campus, will include music and fireworks. The event starts at 6 p.m. with the lighting at 7 p.m. WRAL’s Ken Smith is the emcee.

The clouds, along with the cool air, will increase Saturday, and another cold front will roll in Sunday.

Saturday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 40s. Counties north of the Triangle could see a few flurries Saturday night.

Sunday will be mostly sunny, windy and colder.
