Johnston County schools superintendent to retire
Anthony Parker announced Wednesday that he plans to retire on July 1, and three of his deputies will leave, too.
Posted — UpdatedSMITHFIELD, N.C. — Johnston County Schools Superintendent Anthony Parker announced Wednesday that he plans to retire on July 1, according to several school board members.
He has served in the position the past five years.
Several other school employees announced their resignations as well, all effective July 1:
- Joyce Wade, associate superintendent of human resources
- E.D. Hall, associate superintendent of technology and accountability
- Ann Williams, associate superintendent of facility services
