RALEIGH, N.C. — A 17-year-old Millbrook High School student wanted for nearly a month in connection with a stabbing has surrendered to police.

Tamarius Deonte Dickerson, of 2913 Glade Aster Court in Raleigh, is charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one count of possession of a weapon on school grounds in connection with the incident, which occurred in a hallway at the school on Sept. 15.

The victim, a male student, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and later released from a local hospital.

Police say Dickerson turned himself in Monday. According to court documents, authorities attempted to serve arrest warrants on him at three locations, including his home.

He was in the Wake County jail Monday afternoon under a $51,000 secured bond.
