Hit and Run; Hit & Run
Hit and Run; Hit & Run

A Sanford man suspected of killing a 19-year-old Friday morning in a hit-and-run surrendered to authorities Friday evening.

Authorities received a call at 9:41 a.m. Friday of a body found near Hickory House and Westchester roads, five miles south of Sanford.

The victim was identified as Corey Nicholas Repko.

Sgt. A.W. Waddell of the state Highway Patrol said Repko called his mother Thursday at 8:30 p.m. to tell her he was walking home. Waddell said he was unsure where Repko was coming from or what time he was hit and killed.

David Ricky King Jr., 21, surrendered at the Lee County Sheriff's Office and was charged with felony hit-and-run and voluntary manslaughter, authorities said.

Investigators impounded King's 2004 GMC pickup to collect evidence.

How does this person sleep at night that did this..You took away our friend.......

Teacher-mom, Sanford is relatively small and the particular area this ocurred in is rural. It is also usually safe and family oriented.

There is no "bus" here in Sanford. Just some "COLTS" junk that drives around broken down vans.
