Boyfriend arrested in Sanford teen's death
Dana Shorb, 17, was found dead on April 26 in the shower of the home at 210 Bounty Lane that she shared with her boyfriend and their child.

SANFORD, N.C. — Sanford police on Friday evening arrested the boyfriend of a slain teen in connection with her death.
Edward Donald Rivera, 21, of 601 Barnes St., faces first-degree murder charges in the stabbing death of Dana Shorb, 17. Rivera was denied bond.
Shorb was found dead on April 26 in the shower of her home at 210 Bounty Lane, which she then shared with Rivera and their child.
An autopsy showed Shorb died of a stab wound to the chest. She was also stabbed in the arms, head, neck and chest 11 times. The report called Shorb's death "violent and suspicious."
Sanford police classified Shorb's death as a homicide on July 24.
