— Two Durham school buses and a pickup truck were involved in a wreck Tuesday on Red Mill Road, schools spokesman Michael Yarborough said.

About 50 students from Chewning Middle School were on the two buses. At the request of parents, two were taken to Duke Hospital for observation. No serious injuries were evident, Yarborough said.

The rest of the students were taken home safely on replacement buses.

The driver of the truck, which was caught between the two buses, was taken to Duke Hospital with minor injuries.

"Its amazing how when these accidents happen in the mornnigs on the way to school over half of the students claim they are hurt and need to go to a hospital to get checked out. But let it happen on the way home and everyone is ok."

    Ok Cynical!

    Blessed to hear everyone's ok.

    God bless.
