Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police say a fight in a church parking lot overnight led to a double stabbing.
Investigators three men were drinking in the parking lot of Hillyer Memorial Christian Church, 618 Hillsborough St., around 3 a.m.
They got into an argument, and police say Paul Douglas Cherry, 43, of Raleigh, stabbed the other two.
Emergency crews took Clem Boyd, 42, and Gregory Bethay, 44, to WakeMed in Raleigh. They were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released in the afternoon.
Police continued to search for Cherry on Thursday evening.
Cherry has a lengthy criminal record dating to 1987 in Wake County. He has been convicted of various assault charges five times, as well felonious restraint, resisting and obstructing public officers, breaking-and-entering, and drug offenses.
