Raleigh police arrested three men and charged them with murder in connection with a shooting last weekend at a house operating as a brothel.

Police charged Rony Alvararo Martinez, 23, Elvin Adrian Martinez, 21, and Mauricio Castillo, 19, with two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

The three men are from Durham, and Durham police assisted in making the arrests.

Marco Antonio Alvarez-Martinez, 19, and Gregorio Lopez-Estrada, 23, died of gunshot wounds as a result of the shooting at 316 Sunnybrook Road Saturday afternoon.

Two others, Aquillino Padilla-Meza, 26, and Angelica Avendano-Pereda, 20, were injured.

The residence was operating as a brothel, Raleigh police said Tuesday. But they could comment if it was connected to a motive behind the slayings.

Initially, investigators said two men fled the scene in a dark-blue minivan, believed to be a late '90s model with untinted or lightly tinted windows.

All i can say is wow. Everyone is jumping to conclusions that these 3 hispanics are illegal immigrants. Uh, I am pretty sure the United States prides itself on innocent until proven guilty so how bout we stop the blatant racism that has fallen on the hispanic culture. Oh they are hispanic they must be in a gang. NC is changing while i agree that the illegal immigration is a problem we cant assume every person of hispanic heritage is here illegaly or they are in a gang.

sww1rb - people committing crimes like this & involved in trade of other people care only about themselves, the culture is just a rallying call. Means nothing other than a way to garner special treatment.

I just don't understand why folks, if they are so concerned about their culture, kill their own kind.

Anyone understand???

Praying for the loved ones of them all.

God bless.

con amor - it is not racial profiling. It is identifying people who are in our country ILLEGALLY for their own selfish & often illegal purposes, taking advantage of the generosity, largess & sometimes, naivety of the American people. BTW - think it's called "racial profiling" in Mexico? Stop with the whining already with a concept that wouldn't float in your native country & should float here. Tell your compadres to immigrate legally then there would not be the problem. Keep rolling in as illegal aliens & eventually the US will re-enact some of former President Gen. Eisenhower's method of rounding up illegal aliens - here's a reference for you to peruse - http://www.csmonitor.com/2006/0706/p09s01-coop.html look it up & then tell me how you like them apples. That's what needs to happen again - right now. Profiling happens when certain groups demonstrate a measurable affinity to certain behaviors - driving drunk, smuggling drugs & slaves, blowing people/things up.

I'm getting really REALLY! tired of hearing about all this foul stuff. If they're illegal ship 'em out...don't bother spending taxpayer money on trials. The citizens of the country, state and county deserve more respect from the government than what we've been getting. SHIP THE ILLEGALS OUT!
