— In Rocky Mount, a pickup truck carry two children flipped over in an accident Sunday afternoon.

The wreck happened at the corner of Wesleyan Boulevard and Harbor West Drive. Witnesses said another vehicle ran a red light and hit the pickup carrying the two young children and their grandparents.

WRAL reporter Sloane Heffernan and photographer Greg Clark arrived before emergency crews and helped with the injured kids.

A witness helped free the family from the wreck.

"Then I jumped out and busted the windshield out and got them people out. They were yelling and screaming inside," the man said a few moments later.

Rocky Mount police withheld details about crash, but the two children and their grandparents did not appear to suffer any life-threatening injuries.

What does this sentence mean? Why are you going to sit there and say I do not have any education? You don't know me fool haha.

The clue that you pointed out that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Peeks around, looking both ways . . . Is A-S REALLY gone or lurking in the shadows to pounce again on those that don't agree with him.

Ashen-Shugar...........Why do you get your jollies insulting everyone, just because they dont parrot your sentiments? Let it go already

I answer in kind. My last comment to you contained no insult, just as this one does. Let it go.

Ashen, I see you are still on this website. I didn't see the video this morning; I'm looking at the one they have posted. What clue was I supposed to get? haha go back to reading the dictionary and find some more words to use for the rest of the week.

The clue that you pointed out that you have no idea what you are talking about. Don't worry, I have a plethora of words to help continue the little bit of education you so obviously have.

My comment was about this mornings broadcast video. Those of you attacking that have said you didn't see the video, so you don't know what you are talking about, other than my comment about it. It has also become obvious that the most simple comments are over your heads, and I bid you all good day.

No one said they enjoyed the video. It showed the kids for a split second and thats it. Get over it.

Maybe you should have seen the video from this mornings broadcast, it showed a lot more than that. Get a clue.

"I would have been thankful to Sloane and her cameraman for getting out of their vehicles to help"

Then why did they interview the person that pulled the family out if they were the ones that did? What help did they give while police and EMS were arriving? On the video it clearly showed them being asked to move by police.

    pls qt whining,

Obviously further then you. If you would have taken the time to actually read my first comment you would have seen this part of it.

"This mornings broadcast moved me to pick up the remote and change the channel to another local newscast."

That says pretty clearly that I saw it on this mornings news. I guess reading comprehension isn't your forte?

"So many people don't want to get involved, especially if someone is bleeding"

Queenie, you took the words right out of my mouth. I hope I never get a blood born disease from helping someone, but it doesn't cross my mind until it is over. We've been taught to be so careful around blood, that people neglect to give assistance.

No one said they enjoyed the video. It showed the kids for a split second and thats it. The cameras were not in their face. Get over it.

WRAL happened to be there and in my opinion at the right time. If that had been one of my children or grandchildren, I would have been thankful to Sloane and her cameraman for getting out of their vehicles to help get the children and grandparents out of what could have been further injuries. The vehicle could have burst into flames and all lives could have been lost, then what are you going to complain about - they just stood there, watched and did nothing? So many people don't want to get involved, especially if someone is bleeding, but they did, along with the other good Samaritan. Thank you Sloane and all those involved that cared enough to help.

My, my - such anger A-S

Funny - I comment about MY opinion, just as others did and A-S strikes back to slam others for doing so, however you seem to think it's ok for you to speak your mind and put people down. Go back and read your first response, double negatives (did you make it that far in school?) are bad grammar. I listen to whiners all day - my response to them is that they have a choice - deal with it change it or move on but DON'T keep complaining about it. As far as the photo, I didn't enjoy it at all but it was nice to know that someone would take giving comfort to a child over their job. After seeing the photo, I had no wish to watch the video, so I didn't and won't. Did the picture not give you a hint of what you were going to watch? Another lesson learned maybe??????
