    Haggis Basher,

Obviously the guy is whacked out or he wouldn't have done what he did. That makes him open to do any harm to anyone. And if you read the story from http://www.wyff4.com/news/16618219/detail.html then you would know that.

He said he would "kill himself and the child before being apprehended".

Why don't you read up on that?!? then tell me that there's no harm that could be inflicted on the boy.

I hope they catch the creep and the little boy is safe.

"I pray to God that that creep doesn't take his problems out on that little child."
There is no indication in the story that he (appears to be the father) is any risk at all to the Child. Unless there is due cause I think that they should not use the Amber alert for this kind of incident. A Father who who has been unreasonably denied access or custody to his son is a long way from a Paedophile.

    Praying for the child.

    God bless.

I pray to God that that creep doesn't take his problems out on that little child. My son is 3 1/2 (kind of looks like this kid) and I just can't imagine ever hurting him over something between my wife and I. I worship the ground my little boy walks on. I hope this guy does too.

I just re-read the story and it does appear that he could be the father, but I still don't understand why she didn't take him out of the car when she ran.

    This story stinks:

There is NO WAY I would leave my baby in a car with an armed man. I'm not sure why she was letting her son visit with her ex-boyfriend (not his father) in the first place. And then to escape from the car and not take the boy with her? Something's not right here.

Sounds like the "alleged abductor" is the father. Probably another case of rights denied the father. Now he's made it worse!

  • teacher-mom Jun 16, 2008

Please take that child back. If there are problems, please settle them legally. This is not right.

  • PeaceOut2017 Jun 16, 2008

sounds like a parental custody battle, I doubt the father is going to harm the child.
