4th man arrested in Halifax murder case

Halifax authorities have arrested a fourth man in connection with the April 3 murder of Jerry Wayne Yellorday.

HALIFAX, N.C. — Halifax authorities have arrested a fourth man in connection with the April 3 murder of Jerry Wayne Yellorday.

Robbie A. Jones, 29, of Roanoke Rapids, was charged with murder and conspiracy in connection with the murder. Authorities did not release a picture of Jones.

Damien E. "Dang Dang" Mitchell, 23, and Charles "Ossie" Hockaday, 28, brothers from Roanoke Rapids, were arrested previously in connection with the murder.

Trayvon Purnell, 18, of Roanoke Rapids was also arrested.

All four men were being held without bond.
