Raleigh, N.C. — Construction projects on interstate and U.S. routes across North Carolina will be suspended from 4 p.m. Friday through 9 a.m. Monday, the state department of transportation announced.
Some construction zones will remain, and drivers should be prepared for shifted or narrowed lanes, the DOT cautioned. Only one southbound lane is open on I-85 in Vance County between mile markers 208 and 214.
