SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. — Jenna Racine Walters, Miss Fayetteville 2006 and the winner of that year's Miss Congeniality award, pleaded guilty to an aggressive driving charge Thursday.

Witnesses told Southern Pines police that Walters, 21, sped through traffic on U.S. Highway 15/501 on Nov. 9, weaving into oncoming traffic lanes in an attempt to catch up to another young woman with whom she had a confrontation.

Witnesses said Walters slid her car in front of one driven by Angela Thomas before getting out of her car and screaming at Thomas.

Thomas, 22, of West End, called Walters a good person and denied that Walters ever hit or intimidated her.

Police reports say Walters’ vehicle bumped into Thomas’ car, causing $400 in damage.

Walters declined comment during her appearance in Moore County District Court.
